Started digging up the leeks and, based on the number planted, will be using them probably until January. Pictured here are leeks together with parsnips, carrots and a smallish Savoy cabbage after washing

Started using the parsnips in mid November. These really are easy to grow and create little work. Leave them in the ground until required. The foliage will die down later in the winter so remember where they are. They can be stored but I have never done so. A couple are pictured here in the background along with other winter vegetables.
